The actors are trained to acknowledge both the positive and negative behaviours of each officer during the scenario, giving officers in-depth feedback on how the officer made the actor feel during the interaction. Feedback is crucial for officers to understand how their actions affect the emotions and behaviour of individuals they come in contact with. The actors were trained extensively on verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, and varied their interactions depending on what the officer said or did.
This isn't by any chance the taser sound I gave you, which you said you would convert to GTA, and give me "proper" credit?

Emphasis during the feedback for each scenario was on increasing the expression of empathic feelings and body language expressed to the actors in the scenarios.
The difference is the audio volume and the clarity of the audio which is the initial deploy sound (sounds like a low pitched gunshot) and the electric volt sound (the repetitive zapping sound). I increased the audio of mine a ton along with hours of custom audio clipping to make sure there was no low volume spots or any "nicks" in the audio itself since it is very hard for camera microphones to pick up such a repetitive sound at the frequency that it plays.

This study also shows that these skills can be taught and improved, and that this leads to true-to-life training and real-life application. Feedback from officers taking part repeatedly said how realistic the scenarios were and that they were able to subsequently incorporate these skills into their daily tasks.
In contrast, if the officer looked engaged, gave the actor his or her attention and held eye contact, the actor would be more relaxed, helpful and supply all the information asked for.
Additionally, police reported feeling significantly more confident in their training and ability to interact with a mentally ill individual. There was also a large decrease (more than 40 per cent) in the use of any kind of force when interacting with mentally ill individuals, although there were other internal police initiatives that may have helped this latter figure.
Active listening and expressing empathy in both verbal and non-verbal communication improves outcomes for police officers, particularly when interacting with those who have mental illness and/or addiction problems.
Any sound file can be used in FiveM if it gets installed correctly. Make sure you watch videos on how to install things for FiveM so you dont ruin your game.
For example, if the officer rolled his or her eyes, didn't listen to what was being said or tried to rush the actor, the actor would in turn behave more belligerently and less helpfully.

This program is run as a one-day intensive training program with six scenarios: depression, addiction, schizophrenia, alcohol withdrawal, mania and a suicidal individual.
Police officers then interact with the actors in these scenarios. The goal is to increase skills in active verbal/non-verbal communication, de-escalation techniques, empathetic understanding and mental-health knowledge.
Good point, I may attempt this when I am not working on the other current project. Everyone needs another mind to help them sometimes, so I appreciate the genius thought because I probably wouldn't have thought about that. Thanks for the feedback!
You need to rename "0x1178999F.wav" to "GTA5_GUN_STUN1.wav" before you replace the files and import them. This will make the deploy/fire sound work again. I think one of the updates changed the file structure for the stun gun.
Try not to do the following: Telling them to "calm down" or "relax." These words may make them angry because they feel they're being talked down to and told what to do. This does the opposite of making someone feel calm. Using dominating body language. Standing over an individual with your feet planted, hands on your waist or on your gun, can indicate control and power. This may make the person feel defensive, powerless and unimportant. They are less likely to be co-operative. If they're sitting, try instead to crouch down to their level, so you're able to talk to them as equals. Improper mirroring. Copying isn't always appropriate. If they're shouting, don't shout back, no matter the provocation. Try talking in a softer voice so they have to stop to listen to what you are saying. Also, if the person is scared or anxious, mirroring their body language can exaggerate anxiety and fear, which may escalate the situation. Keep a calm demeanor, even if they are not. Eventually and without realizing it, many subjects will copy your body language. Telling them they shouldn't feel a certain way. All feelings are real no matter how outrageous it sounds. Do not belittle what the subject is experiencing. For example, if a subject is hearing voices, don't say "no, you don't hear that." Instead, ask more about the situation: "How long have you been hearing them?" or "How do they make you feel?"

You may have installed the sound mod incorrectly. Do you have a backup of the original sound files? If you have those then you can just revert your weapons.awc/taser sound WAV's by using the install instructions included in the file. Follow the instructions as if you were installing the sound mod, but use the original GTA V taser sounds instead of my mod. If you don't have a backup, you can try another taser sound mod and see if that gets it to work, or you will have to verify your game cache (if your using the Steam version). If using another taser sound mod works, then that would suggest my mod could be an issue, however if you also replaced other sounds then those could be the culprit as well.
The following is a quick showcase video that demonstrates what my audio file will sound like once installed in your game.
Yes, that is correct. The reason I did not change the charge sound to also be the "shock" sound is because there is an extreme change in audio volume. I increased the audio files volume for the "CHARGE" sound file and It never changed the volume at all. Eventually I may add the 5 second version for people who don't mind the volume change, but I made this for myself before i released it months later and my preference was to not have a drastic volume change.
Thanks dude! There are other ones out there, but I really didn't like hearing it allot. I made this one so I could have a extremely realistic sound that I would enjoy hearing allot. Glad others have the same thoughts :)
After the scenario was complete, the feedback continued to highlight why the actor behaved in certain ways. This allowed police to have an outside perspective of their actions and body language, giving them a better view of how their actions or what they said impacted the way they are viewed.
Additionally, there was an improvement in an officer's ability to confidently recognize, respond and empathetically communicate with individuals in distress.
I need help, I tried getting it to work and I know my whole folder is muted, I would love to know the capacity from the new update, I have 19,037 KB in my weapons.awc folder, and it still wont work, I tried other sounds but it keeps getting muted, so I would love to know how much I shouldn't exceed on it.
These results show promise, and continue to emphasize the positive effects of this innovative mental health training initiative. What's interesting about the research that was done, and the tips provided, is that little things can make a big difference.
I had the same problem @EliteOnThePC In this download are 2 .wav files Charge and 0x1178999f. After you extract them from the download change the name of 0x1178999f to GTA5_GUN_STUN1 and then follow the directions in the download just as you normally would have. That fixed it for me hopefully it works for you.
what are the 5 strategies for de-escalation?
The training focuses on improving interactions between police officers and individuals exhibiting various forms of mental illness. What makes it novel is that it uses actors to portray real-life scenarios, developed in close collaboration between police and the University of Alberta.
Hello fellow LSPDFR players! Today I have decided to release a audio modification for the Stun Gun I have been keeping to myself for a month or so now. This is a file that contains 2 .wav audio files that replace the in game taser shooting sound along with the charging up sound, which in my version has been removed/replaced with a blank audio file to add more realism.
It allows officers to improve their interactions in real-life situations. One important part of the training is the use of professional actors, who give feedback to the officers after each scenario. This is in addition to feedback from more senior training officers.

Police officers are now frequently the first-line responders for those suffering a mental health or addiction problem, but training in handling these cases isn't keeping up with the need.
To counter this, the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) teamed up with the University of Alberta to investigate a new way to improve outcomes. This research was led by Dr. Peter Silverstone and PhD candidate Yasmeen Krameddine, and the results to date are very positive.

Negative sir. This is the original video it was clipped from along with allot of audio cuts and pastes done by myself. Your video is below the original video I made my edits from and you can easily see the difference in audio.
This supported a 41 per cent increase in the actual number and classification of mental health calls, with 19 per cent less time being spent on each call, thus an increase in efficiency. Over a six-month period, this led to cost savings of $83,828.

Over a six-month period, EPS members demonstrated significant improvements in their communication, empathy and de-escalation skills, as observed by their supervising officers.

An example of feedback from an actor would be "When you asked me my name, I felt like you actually cared about me, as a person, so I was comfortable in answering your questions" or "when you told me to calm down it made me angry because your tone suggested you didn't care why I was so angry."
