Limited quantity labelrequirements

Limited Quantity labels are used for the transport of dangerous goods packaged in limited quantities. Labels WITHOUT the 'Y' are used for transportation by road, rail and sea. Limited Quantities refers to dangerous goods which are packed in boxes or shrink wrapped trays that are shipped in small containers. Dangerous goods packaging and labelling regulations normally do not apply to smaller quantities of hazardous materials packed in individual containers as they would pose less of a risk than when they are transported in larger volumes but they must be identified by a Limited Quantity Label.
