All of our eclipse viewing materials are optical density 5 or greater and are "CE" certified, which meets the transmission requirements of scale 12-16 of EN 169/1992. They also meet the standard for ISO 12312-2:2015. Lenses are made of our exclusive scratch-resistant optical density 5 black polymer'' material that filters out 100% of harmful ultraviolet, 100% of harmful infrared, and 99.999% of intense visible light. These premium filters create a sharper orange-colored image of the sun.

For photometric measurement, with its possibility of determining the modulation transfer function (MTF) of an image transmission system, tests have been developed without intermediate spaces between the individual line pairs or line groups, in order to avoid measuring errors due to neighbouring effects.
