Hi, I am trying to build a camera that can capture a 2" x 2" surface at the minimum focus length possible. Which camera module and lens do I need? I don’t know anything about cameras, so I could use some guidance. This is for taking pictures, not video.

Focal length

The zoom/telephoto lenses can’t see anything close up. E.g. the longer the focal length the longer the required minimum distance.

Hi, what you want to do requires a macro lens. M12 doesn’t really have this. The wide angle lens will be your friend here. But, it’s going to see a lot more area than 2"x2".
