Police Use of Drones - do police use drones
Curve chevron signs may be used to provide additional warning or delineation at curves. Guidance on the use of Curve chevron signs is contained in Table 3‑3.

Preparation is the key to any emergency response and ICS has the industry-leading support to make sure your agency is always ready for anything.
A series of W20-2 (L)/(R) Chevron curve indicators may also be used to further delineate horizontal curves which are signed with an advisory curve warning / Curve sign supplementary – advisory speed combination and a W20-1 Horizontal curve chevron sight board sign.
Chevron sight boards – horizontal curve can be effective in emphasising horizontal curves which the RCA considers to be deceptive or dangerous
Chevron Signsize
A series of W20-2 (L)/(R) Chevron curve indicators may be used on horizontal curves where the installation of a W20-1 Chevron sight board – horizontal curve is not warranted but, in the opinion of the RCA, some additional delineation is required throughout the curve to supplement the advisory curve warning sign or sign combination. A typical example situation is a long, large deflection angle, horizontal curve.

Where they are installed, a minimum of two W20-2 (L)/(R) Chevron curve indicators should be visible to road users as they traverse the curve.
EASY TO LEARN, EASY TO USEAn intuitive optimized workflow and GUI with guided processes, auto-populating entries, and predefined running orders allows users to dispatch units within seconds of an incoming call. We’ve designed our application to be easy to use with minimal training so your agency can be up and running as quickly as possible.
However, for short length horizontal curves, the W20-2 Chevron curve indicators may not be able to be installed in an effective manner and they may be omitted.

Along with dispatching units, critical situational awareness information is also immediately relayed including incidents, resources, water sources, schools, hazards, alerts concerning residents/neighbors, riot incidents at a location, building floor plans, utilities, and even chemical/material storage information.

Response times matter. Sending the right unit to the right call matters. Having the right technology that is easy to use and easy to learn makes a difference. And having a technology partner that will support you and is there when you call makes a difference.
POWERFUL RESPONSE PLANNINGICS has developed proprietary algorithms that enable agencies to pre-define complex scenarios well in advance of their actual need. When the need arises, these pre-plans and running orders are employed without any user intervention. Any dispatcher can accommodate any complex multi-agency situation just as easy as a vacation house watch.
The Athena CAD software has been streamlined over the years to enable users to dispatch units within seconds of a call coming in. To enhance this quick call-to-dispatch workflow, ICS has developed proprietary technology called “ClosestTo” which highlights the unit able to respond fastest to the emergency based on the GPS location of both the unit and call location.
FLEXIBLE & CUSTOMIZABLEInfinite customization of how the data is presented and adaptable to your users. You can build your own views and organize your desktop to best suit you. Users can perform unit status changes by keyboard, mouse, or directly on the map. This level of customization also extends to your agency’s environment with map displays and unique code table.
The Curve sign supplementary – advisory speed (W12-3.2) shown in combination with any other standard advanced curve warning sign (W12-1.1 (L)/(R) – W12-2.4 (L)/(R)) combination should have the same value and be shown on the W20-1 Chevron sight board.

Doublechevron signmeaning
the curve advisory speed is higher than 15km/h and Size D advance curve warning signs are warranted (refer to Appendix A:)Appendix A: Guidelines for the installation of curve warning and advisory speed signs
For long curves the W20-1, should be followed by a series of W20-2 Chevron curve indicators to further delineate the curve.
OFFICER SAFETY FOCUSEDAthena Suite provides an unparalleled platform to ensure we provide the highest level of situational awareness to officers in the field. Awareness including location alerts (guns, dogs, hazardous materials), prior assailant incidents (including gang relations and known behaviors), visualization of incoming units, and even tapping into building cameras to see activity inside before physical entry.
