Innovators are the people in our society who have helped us survive, adapt, and improve our lives over generations. The products of their work are the result of solving problems or creative imagining that has shaped our communities and how we live in our environments. Innovators have developed tools, practices, and objects using the resources that surround them. Innovations could include advances in science and technology, or even adapting a recipe to take advantage of local ingredients and creating a new dish to be enjoyed by family and friends.

During Heritage Week we encourage everyone to visit and discover our great buildings, cultural institutions, extraordinary landscapes, and vibrant urban and rural communities or attend a heritage week event in their community.
