Dedicato all'imaging ravvicinato estremo, il Nikon Laowa 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5X Ultra Macro con attacco Z di Venus Optics è un obiettivo macro specializzato per fotografare soggetti con ingrandimenti superiori alle dimensioni reali. Operando in un intervallo compreso tra 2,5:1 e 5:1, questo obiettivo ha una distanza minima di messa a fuoco di soli 6,8" con ingrandimento 5:1 insieme a una comoda distanza di lavoro di 1,6". Questa gamma trae vantaggio anche dalla lunghezza focale grandangolare, per ottenere una maggiore profondità di campo rispetto agli obiettivi macro a focale lunga. A complemento delle funzionalità di primo piano, il design ottico incorpora un elemento a bassissima dispersione per ridurre le frange cromatiche e le aberrazioni cromatiche per un elevato grado di chiarezza.
