Gate (ASET) is the exam that must be taken in order to be offered a place in a selective school. It can be sat in Years 6, 8, 9 and 10. GATE is highly competitive and only a small number of students achieve a high enough score to be offered a place.
Hazard pictograms alert us to the presence of a hazardous chemical. The pictograms help us to know that the chemicals we are using might cause harm to people or the environment. The GB CLP hazard pictograms appear in the shape of a diamond with a distinctive red border and white background. One or more pictograms might appear on the labelling of a single chemical.
Safetysymbols and meanings
Gate (ASET) has become increasingly competitive over the years and preparation is key to any success. If you are aiming for the exam in Year 6, the best time to start preparation is at the start of Year 5. If you have previously sat it and are re-trying in high school, starting to prepare in Term 4 is the best time.
Gate (ASET) workshops are designed for Year 5 students preparing to take the exam in Year 6. They start in the April holidays and run throughout the year building on knowledge, exam techniques and strategies and cover all the areas of the exam. The workshops are the perfect boost to preparation.
