The non-lethal weapon was first featured in the 2010 James Bond video game Blood Stone, during which the Bangkok Police are equipped with the fictional PCP-1000, which resembles Axon's X26 Taser.[3] Another generic shooting stun gun appeared in the 2015 mobile video game James Bond: World of Espionage.

A shooting stun gun, often known by the brand-name Taser, is a handgun-shaped electroshock weapon. The device fires two small dart-like electrodes, which stay connected to the main unit by conductors, to deliver electric current to disrupt voluntary control of muscles, causing "neuromuscular incapacitation".[1][2] While Axon's "Taser" brand name has become virtually synonymous with shooting stun guns, other companies have produced similar devices (e.g., Raysun X1).
