The most frequent requirement is for ramps that cover 2-4 stairs. Below, we provide a size chart indicating the recommended ramp length based on the height of the steps. While the height of individual stairs can vary, they generally range between 6.5 and 8 inches.

Rule 353(1) specifies that a driver is not required to give way to a pedestrian who is crossing the road that the driver is leaving, and rule 353(2) provides that a pedestrian who is only crossing a part of a road is considered to be crossing the road.
