How are intersections controlled? Intersections with less traffic or slow traffic are usually controlled by stop or yield sign. Intersections with heavy traffic or fast traffic are usually controlled by stop lights. Intersections in residential areas are usually controlled by stop or yield signs. Some intersections are controlled by roundabouts.
