Construction Site Lift / Elevator Call System - on call lifting
By the late 1950s, the USA and other countries explored unmanned aerial technologies. These countries had started working on spy planes. These spy planes were radio-controlled and fitted with film cameras. These small unmanned planes flew over China and North Vietnam to gather imagery intelligence. On 15 November 1964, a Firebee Spy Drone was shot down over China which is said to be the first known use of reconnaissance drones. During the Iran–Iraq War, in the early 1980s, Iran used its first drone Mohajer, during the war.
Utility work ahead signs are a very common road work sign and are designated MUTCD W21-7. Utility work ahead signs are used as a warning for drivers that they are entering an area in which utility or construction work is taking place. Saudi Arabia and the UAE have carried out lethal attacks in Libya and Yemen using drones. In 2019, the world’s largest crude oil processing and stabilization plant in Abqaiq, Saudi Arabia, was attacked by drones.
In the 21st century, huge developments in conflict zones show the proliferation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and how they transform and shape new warfare. Armed drones are now the primary advanced technology used in the combat zones. Drone attacks have become a common feature of the modern battlefield. These unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have the potential to successfully overwhelm air defences, since only one or two need to get through to destroy their target.
Just like drivers operating an automobile, bike riders are subject to several traffic control signs while riding on the roadway. No bicycle signs, designated as MUTCD R5-6, should be posted at the entrances of roadways or areas in which bicycle traffic is prohibited.
Stop signs do more than just tell a driver when and where to stop. They also alert drivers to intersections, crossing areas, and more. For settings where traffic needs to be temporarily stopped/slowed, such as a construction zone, Stop-Slow Signs and Paddles can be utilized.
Stop signs are designated MUTCD R1-1 and are the most easily recognizable of all traffic signs. Consisting of 8 sides, a red background, and the word “STOP” in big, bold, white letters, stop signs are universally recognizable. There are no other signs that are made in an octagon shape, which is a clever design trick to make sure that drivers are immediately aware of stop sign at first glance. This is because of how critical stop signs are to controlling the flow of traffic and maintaining safe roadways.
Drones are no longer the weapons of tomorrow, they are now the weapons of today. A new era of drone warfare has already arrived involving many more players. The last decade has seen a huge explosion in drone innovation and commercial interest leading to the golden age of drones. Despite a growing call to impose greater controls over the use of weaponized robots, many armed forces have already invested in a variety of drones, unmanned weapons and other AI-powered machines. These weaponized robots have already found their way onto the world’s conflict zones.

Since the 9/11 attack, the USA has increased the use of drones for finding and killing terrorists and feeding the military’s insatiable demand for battlefield intelligence. In 2001, US Air Force and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) became the first to successfully fit drones with missiles, Predator drones with Hellfire missiles, as a part of a failed attempt to kill Osama bin Laden. From 2004-13, there have been 455 estimated strikes in Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan and in the period of 2016-18, there have been 9 drone strikes in Iraq & Syria by the US.

Indian army recently deployed indigenous anti-drone spoofers and jammer systems in Jammu and Punjab border to crack down drones sent by Pakistan-based terror groups.
More than 36 countries over the world have armed drones. Most of the countries are seeking armed drone capability without the capacity to develop drones domestically.
During World War 2, the Nazi V1 & V2 were still essentially guided bombs. Those were the primitive versions of today’s cruise missiles. The V1 missile, once launched, flew without a pilot until it ran out of fuel and came crashing down. The V2 rocket was a long-distance weapon that could travel at the speed of sound. They were known as ‘revenge weapons’ used by Germany to terrorise British civilians and undermine morale.

Ukraine has been successfully shot down hundreds of these drones so far. Russia has been successful in using armed drones because they have a long-range and can be launched in large numbers. Russian forces that were occupying Snake Island were attacked by Ukrainian forces using Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2.
Meanwhile, Taiwan has recently unveiled its own Kamikaze drones, amid ongoing tensions with China and has announced a $1.6bn investment in domestic armed drone production.

While the American’s Kettering Bug, an aerial torpedo first flew in October 1918. Although both passed the flight test, neither was used operationally during the war.
There are also keep left signs, designated as MUTCD R4-8, which let drivers know to keep to the left. Together, these traffic signs help to keep drivers safe by safely guiding traffic around road obstacles or through potentially confusing roadways.

The development and testing of unmanned technology was continued during the interwar period. In 1935, the UK produced a number of radio-controlled aircraft to be used as targets for training purposes. The term “drone” started to be used at the time, after the UK developed the Queen Bee, a bi-plane converted to be controlled by radio from the ground. Queen Bee was a remote-controlled target for anti-aircraft gunners to use for target practice. At that time, Radio-controlled drones were also manufactured in the United States and used for target practice and training.
