The Indiana Law Enforcement Training board has mandated that all police officers within the state attend a minimum of 24 hours of annual in-service training. We offer classes year round that count towards the required 24 hours of in-service, including all mandates. Examples of some of our in-service training are:

The Southport Police Department built our new facility with training officers in mind. We offer several classroom areas, a large bay area that will accommodate several vehicles and a FATS (Firearms simulator) training room. We also have a dedicated staff of ILEA-certified instructors that teach new recruits within our ILEA-Certified police academy and offer in-service and additional training. We believe that training is paramount to a safe and successful police department, which is one reason that we offer all ILEA-approved training courses.
