With normal use, your batteries should last up to 2 years. If there is continual testing or use of the device, the life time of the batteries will of course, decrease. It is recommended to check the strength of your stunning device periodically. This can be checked by the loud crackling noise and electric arch. Both should remain strong and loud. If the sound or arch appears weakened, it is time to change the batteries.
