I was following the steps of your guide until I crashed into a problem, whenever I go to the headset settings and click on anything it just says “make sure your headset is on and near you” even thought it is, it also says “make sure headset is connected to Wi-Fi, but like I said none of the buttons at headset setting work, do you have any solutions?

how easy is it to set up the oculus without the controllers as my refurbished oculus should arrive any day now and I am wondering how difficult it is to set up the oculus even when I have no controllers currently paired. Is it just the thing where you point at it with your head then click the volume button to select or?

Hi All,I received my refurbished headset today, but ran into a problem pairing my own controllers with the (new?) headset, after entering the headset code into my Oculus mobile phone app.The headset screen indicated removing the original battery tags and as I could not do that, I was stuck there. Here's what worked for me:1. Open the Oculus phone app.2. Select 'Menu'3. Tap the 'Devices' icon4. Select 'Headset Settings'5. Select 'Controllers'6. From there you should be able to pair your existing controllers with your refurbished headset by following the prompts.
