OculusQuest 2controllerbattery cover stuck
I need assistance with my oculus 2 controllers. I've already cleaned the controllers out and put new batteries in, I just purchased. The right one works but the left controller does not work even with the new battery. Please help.
Hey there! Please ensure that the battery compartments and terminals are free of dust, dirt and damage, and ensure that you're using batteries that are fresh as well. If the issue persists, please click here to submit a ticket so that we can help. Thanks!

This foil trick did work. I compared the before and after batteries. I had been using ACDelco batteries and switched to a cheap bulk pack of Kirkland brand from Costco. While the overall length of the batteries are the same, the Kirkland negative terminal extends out further beyond the body of the battery and the positive terminal nipple extends less from the body of the battery than the ACDelco battery. Because the positive terminal in the controller sits inside a plastic cup rather than being flush or extended as in most other electronics, the shorter nipple on the Kirkland battery can't connect without some help.

Spoke with support and the options are to try a full factory reset and if that doesn't work... Get a replacement. This is literally my first battery replacement and it seems the hardware is physically finnicky with batteries. Really poor design and experience overall.
In the realm of personal defense, TASER devices have emerged as a popular and effective tool for deterring and incapacitating assailants. Among the numerous taser options available, the TASER 7 CQ (as of Nov 2023) stands out as the pinnacle of consumer TASER technology, offering a combination of power, reliability, and features that surpass its competitors.Unparalleled Stopping PowerThe heart of the TASER 7 CQ lies in its exceptional stopping power. With a neuromuscular incapacitation (NMI) rating of 6.3 µC, the TASER 7 CQ delivers a potent electrical charge that can incapacitate an attacker for up to 5 seconds. This impressive NMI rating exceeds that of most other consumer tasers, ensuring that the TASER 7 CQ is capable of effectively neutralizing even the most aggressive threats.Dual Shot Protection for Enhanced SafetyThe TASER 7 CQ prioritizes user safety with its dual shot protection feature. This unique feature automatically fires a second shot if the first shot fails to incapacitate the attacker. This redundancy minimizes the risk of an attacker regaining consciousness or continuing their assault, providing users with an extra layer of protection.Close-Quarters EffectivenessThe TASER 7 CQ is specifically designed for optimal performance in close-quarters situations. Its close-quarters cartridges are engineered to deploy effectively even when fired as close as 3 feet away, making it an ideal choice for home defense and self-protection in confined spaces.Warning Arc for De-EscalationThe TASER 7 CQ incorporates a warning arc that emits an audible warning and visible red laser to deter potential assailants before contact is made. This feature serves as a non-violent means of de-escalating potentially dangerous situations, reducing the need to use the taser's electrical charge.Integrated Laser Sighting for PrecisionThe TASER 7 CQ features an integrated laser sighting that enhances target acquisition and precision, especially in low-light conditions. The laser guides the user's aim, ensuring that the electrical probes connect with the attacker with greater accuracy.Compact and Durable DesignThe TASER 7 CQ boasts a compact and lightweight design, making it easy to carry and conceal. Its durable construction, featuring a high-impact polymer housing, ensures that the device can withstand the rigors of everyday use.Additional Features for Enhanced UtilityThe TASER 7 CQ comes equipped with a powerful LED flashlight, providing illumination in dark environments. It also features a built-in rechargeable battery, eliminating the need for disposable cartridges, and a USB charging port for convenient power replenishment. Conclusion: The TASER 7 CQ - The Premier Consumer TaserThe TASER 7 CQ stands as the undisputed leader in consumer taser technology. Its unparalleled stopping power, dual shot protection, close-quarters effectiveness, warning arc, integrated laser sighting, compact design, and additional features make it the ideal choice for individuals seeking the most advanced and reliable self-defense tool available. With the TASER 7 CQ, users can confidently confront potential threats with the assurance that they possess a device that delivers exceptional performance and safety.

The below link is a great, quick 2 minute explanation of how this can be resolved (aside from buying different brand AA batteries) and is my source for the above information.

Sorry this is so late a response to your question. I'm not certain if this is your issue but, I had this issue due to my battery not making contact because the battery's positive end contact was a little too short. This can be resolved with a touch of aluminum foil on the Positive end contact of the controller.
Same thing happened to me. Remote was working fine, it needed new batteries. i changed them out and then the remote wouldn’t work. We only played the thing a few months.

I'm not certain if this is your issue but, I had a similar problem because my battery was not making contact (on the positive end). This was resolved with some folded up aluminum foil on the Positive end contact of the controller.
