This optic came with a nice carrying case and a large variety of accessories to include a 32 Gb Sandisk memory card. It allows you to capture 720p photo and video in both day and night. I have not had any issues with it after about a month of use and it has been a handy tool to assist me in my night time hunting. The internal illuminator is good to about 120-150 yards, but I was able to see past 300 yards when paired with a stronger external illuminator. Overall the build feels solid and there isn’t anything on this device that feels cheap or fragile. I was a little dissapointed at first about it using 8 internal AA batteries but then learned you can plug this device into an external power bank. Options are always nice, and this device definitely gives you plenty.

The video picture in this binoculars is fine when they are hand-held, but it becomes noticeably better when they are on a tripod. The ability to take photos and videos at night directly through the lens is a great bonus, but the binoculars need to be on a tripod to get good pictures. These binoculars detect infra red light and have a good infra red flashlight built into the body. So they are great for watching animals from afar at night. They are not the type that amplifies available light, so they are not useful for astronomy. The picture of the owl, which was about 200 feet away, was taken on a dark and cloudy night.

I did a long time research before I purchased this product. First of all I just want find a reasonable price for something has night view function. This one is typically like some digital cameras has night view function. , they all has cmos and function of infrared night view. This NV900 uses a screen to display live view. It has quite strong ability in a dark environment, I tested it at a beach in a dark night. Satisfied with its night view mode. But I hope the screen could have more view angle. I haven’t had a chance to take this into the desert yet, but so far I am not disappointed in this purchase. My first impression was that it came with a really nice protective case. I had a chance to use it on my street in complete darkness during a power outage in my area and the night vision was awesome. I really like that this isn’t just for viewing, you can also record photo or video in either full color or infrared. It was also nice that it comes with an SD card. Literally the only thing I used to go along with this that didn’t come with it was a tripod. I’m really excited to take this into the desert and see some wildlife.

You definitely want a tripod or monopod to mount this on. On a tripod or monopod, it makes panning left/right up/down a smooth transition. You will also stay on target while operating the control buttons. While you can hold it in your hands because it’s not uncomfortably heavy, the picture is jumpy and blurry while panning. You also can’t stay on your target when you start pushing the control buttons. Overall for basic use so far it’s got decent night vision capabilities, it’s a good value for the money.

So in truth I am not that easily impressed, a NV must be both well designed, well made & be very easy to use & durable/waterproof for it to get a passing grade IMO. I like the overall design concept of this digital unit, the widescreen view in particular is what “sells” this device as it offers the promise of a great field of view along with the ability to quickly & easily zoom in & out on your targets of interest. Overall, worth the money, good product.

It takes the binocular to the high level. The wide view really help the user to relieve their eyes and provides comfortable viewing even while wearing the goggles on the eyes. My husband wore the glasses. The image is amazing and clear. It has incredible long viewing distance with zoom. The operation is simple and straight. The only con is that we have to manually focus on the object.

What can I say, it works. The closer the more clear the objects are. The zoom is digital so we all know what that means. Within the first 50 yards in pitch black it’s essentially daytime, the further out you go the less it is but it still works quite well. The picture quality in the review window is a little weak and sometimes a little scrambled along the bottom for pictures taken at high zoom. But on the computer they are surprisingly clear. Overall I’m very happy for the price.

I have not had a bright moon using them as of yet. But using the infrared on a dark night works well. I used them in a state park in ND. I saw deer very well and clear. I am a bad judge of distance but the were not very close. Maybe 300-400 feet. I made a noise to get them to look up and their eyes glowed from in infrared. I spotted a racoon crossing the road. I then went to the beach and was looking down the surf line and I could see crabs running around on the beach. Remember this was all done on a moonless night. I walked up to get a closer look with my flashlight and they took off. Watch the tutorial on how to set up online and learn which button does what when using. If you learn what button does what before going out you will have a great experience.

I am so glad that I bought this night vision binocular for my Yellowstone National Park trip. I camped for 4 nights and heard there were elks moo near my tent on the first night. With this great quality binocular, I had the chance to observe an elk family of 6!! Even 2 baby elks in such a close distance!!! And there was a snowstorm on the third day so it was dark very early— however, with the binocular I was lucky enough to spot a black bear chasing a bison baby! (The bison baby was safe thanks for its parents)
