Research at the leading edge of quantum optics is exploring the interface between quantum communication theory and quantum optical implementation. Nobel Laureate, Donna Strickland, in the Department of Physics and Astronomy is leading a research team focused on intense laser-matter interactions, intense laser systems, nonlinear optics and short-pulse.
