Can confirm I’m not hallucinating, my housemate also heard. Is it something to do with the bluetooth? I don’t know whether there’s a microphone in my projector/speaker either

I have starry lights projector (the lights that shine a galaxy-like projector onto the ceiling and walls) that doubles as a bluetooth speaker, I plugged it in this evening and i hear a muffled speaking, then I heard someone say “please cover your speaker” in an Indian accent - baring in mind I am in the UK - and I freak out so i covered it with my clothes? the speaking stopped and I unplugged it.
