Strongestglue for sticking glass to metal
Permabond glass adhesives are suitable for a variety of applications on decorative and structural glass. They are excellent for bonding glass to glass or glass to metal and form very high strength bonds for load-bearing joints, such as those found in glass furniture and display cases. Flexible and stress absorbing, Permabond glass adhesives are available for use in applications that require substrates with different thermal expansions to be bonded. Their high optical clarity and resistance to yellowing make them very popular for “invisible joints”.

The compound microscope is a useful tool for magnifying objects up to as much as 1000 times their normal size. Using the microscope takes lots of practice.
The technology is also used in night-vision devices. It allows users to see in the dark, without being seen themselves - at least not without special equipment. At Wiseled, infrared is used in our Xtruder RAVEN - an aid to driver’s vision enhancement.

IR, also infrared, is light just outside of the visible range. The name “infrared” comes from the Latin prefix “infra”, meaning “below” and the word “red”. The word directly means "below red", which is exactly what infrared is in terms of its frequency.

Structural acrylic glass adhesives such as Permabond TA4246 bond glass to glass as well as to plastic and metal. They are often preferred for bonding hinges and fitting to the heavy, structural glass found in turnstiles or railings. High strength, structural, durable bonds that offer high peel strength, impact resistance and absorb the differential expansion and contraction stresses between dissimilar surfaces help to reduce the chance of glass cracking from thermal shock.

Due to the basic nature of glass, cyanoacrylate adhesives cure very rapidly on glass and appear to have a strong bond. However, the accelerated cure creates stresses in and around the bond which makes the cured adhesive prone to degrade over time. These stresses, the brittle nature of cyanoacrylate adhesive, and the significant difference in the coefficients of thermal expansion between the glass and the adhesive can contribute to bond failure. To improve results, test a rubber toughened cyanoacrylate such as Permabond 731 but be mindful that the bond will not be permanent. In summary, cyanoacrylate adhesives are not good glass glues.
Far-infrared, on the other hand, cannot be registered with any of the human senses. The frequency is used in remote control technology to transmit information. The most popular devices using this technology are TV remote controls.
