Polarisation extinction ratioformula

Designed to measure the output from the end of an optical fiber, the extinction ratio meter provides a measurement range of 0 to 30 dB over the wavelength range from 800 to 1625 nm, 0 to 25 dB over the range from 700 to 800 nm, and 0 to 25 dB over the range from 400 to 700 nm. The meter provides an extinction ratio resolution of ±0.5 dB, and an extinction ratio accuracy of ±1 dB, and measures alignment with 1° accuracy. Available in a visible version (400 – 700 nm) and an infrared version (700 – 1600 nm), the unit can operate in either real time mode or logging mode.
