This allows you to mix and match any of your favorite preamps with lightpipe and have them easily transfer to your computer and into your DAW. The FireStudio Lightpipe also serves as a great way to interface other digital devices such as digital mixers, AD/DA converters, or ADAT recorders with your computer. Up to 32 channels of audio The FireStudio Lightpipe is capable of handling up to 32 channels of audio coming in on lightpipe at resolutions of up to 48kHz. This audio is passed on through to the computer via FireWire and into a supported DAW. For higher resolution audio, the FireStudio Lightpipe can operate on the Dual SMUX protocol, providing up to 16 channels of audio at 96kHz.
