I had this exact problem after charging it for a long time. I think the headset got confused about it's own battery level.

You will know when it's bootlooping "correctly" by looking at the reflection from the lenses. Normally there's a white glow, then it goes off after 3-4 seconds. When it's bootlooping "correctly" it will glow for about 8-9 seconds, then turn off. Alternatively, if you look through the headset itself, the oculus logo will be "pulsing", rather than static. When that happens, you can stop holding the power button, turn it on normally, and it should take you to the dashboard and be at 100% battery.

Hopefully these steps get your devices working once more! If you find yourself still running into issues, please feel free to reach out to us in a private message! Click on our profile, then "Send a Message."

We appear to have found several rogue headsets that aren't charging. We're saddened to see that, and we hope to provide you with some information about the issue. Let's start by making sure the headset can turn on. If it seems like the headset is still unable to turn on even after 2 to 5 hours of charging, we can try a factory reset to make sure the headset can processes directives. My oculus quest 2 died so I plugged it in to the charger that came with it, waited 12 hrs and went to play it. There is a solid red light on but my oculus won't turn on. What's wrong

The fix was to disconnect it from the wall socket, then hold down the power button. It boot looped multiple times - showing the oculus logo, then the low battery, then turning off. Eventually, after boot-looping about 10 times, it started boot-looping like it normally would with full charge.

Hey there, @benji.exe2. We can understand where you're coming from, knowing your options is never a bad thing! We wouldn't recommend using a Nintendo charger, however. It's recommended to use an official Quest charger, using different chargers could cause the battery to degrade and cause issues. Hopefully this information helps!
