A stop sign on only one side of a street is an excellent indicator of a street NOT being one way. If you see parked cars facing the other way of the stop sign, the street is most definitely two way. Alternately a stop sign on the left side of the road facing oncoming traffic indicates a one way street for a right-hand traffic country.
