In certain situations, if you are limited by GPU performance but you do not have sufficient CPU headroom (meaning enough margin to use more CPU), using Foveated Rendering via Quad Views may also result in loss of performance.

DCS World has two modes of operation: the single-threaded mode, and the new experimental multi-threaded mode. Due to a bug in the game with single-threaded mode (cursor renders double), you must use the multi-threaded (MT) mode.

In the DCS World settings, you must disable 'VR' -> 'Bloom effect' and 'System' -> 'Lens Effects' as they produced poor visuals when using foveated rendering.

In addition to downloading and installing the Quad-Views-Foveated program on your PC, you must complete all of the steps below.

Whether you are using eye tracking or fixed foveated rendering mode, you must follow the additional steps specific to DCS:

Foveated Rendering only helps with GPU performance. If your game is limited by CPU performance, using Foveated Rendering will not help, and will only make things worse.

If you are using OpenXR Toolkit, you must follow these additional steps to clear previous settings: Clear settings in OpenXR Toolkit.
