As Head of External Affairs, Adam Main is paving the way for CH4 Global to expand its presence in Australia and beyond and reach new markets with our methane-reducing product, Methane TamerTM. Calling upon a background in aquaculture, he interfaces frequently with farmers, governments, and universities and other research partners to ensure they understand the value and reap the benefit of our product. Adam joined CH4 Global after serving as General Manager of Aquaculture at the Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA), where he led the operational and strategic directions of the Aquaculture, Policy Planning and Environmental Group. Prior to PIRSA, he was the longest-serving chief executive of the Tasmanian Salmonid Growers Association, and worked at an executive level with the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations and as a Divisional Manager for Greening Australia. Adam is a Director on the Boards for the Australian Sustainable Seaweed Alliance and Seafood Industry South Australia, and is a past Chair of the National Aquaculture Council and the Tasmanian Aquaculture Council. An avid catch-and-release fisherman, he is thrilled to be part of an organization that is directly and positively impacting the ocean, climate, and local communities.

Prior to CH4 Global, he was Acting Director of Operations at Fisheries and Aquaculture South Australia. At Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA) for over a decade, he managed marine and land compliance operations across the region of South Australia. On his watch, PIRSA implemented and developed technology systems, legislation, and regulation for sustainable fisheries, and enforced compliance to support long-term economic viability. Sebastian earned a Bachelor of Applied Science and Applied Geology from University of South Australia, and graduated from the University of Adelaide’s Professional Management Program.

David Lawson leads R&D at CH4 Global, where he and his team are developing future generations of technology through a global network of partner universities and research institutions. David has devoted his entire career to research, product and business model innovation, and entrepreneurship. Prior to CH4 Global, David served as Senior Director, Corporate R&D, at Procter & Gamble, leading the company’s open innovation program, Connect + Develop—a case study of corporate innovation for many an MBA student. At the University of Delaware (UD), he is Assistant Professor in the College of Earth, Ocean and Environment, and Adjunct Associate Professor in the Horn Entrepreneurship Program, and teaches and mentors new generations of entrepreneurs. David developed and sourced initial 4-year funding for UD’s Ratcliffe Eco Entrepreneurship Fellows (REEF) program. He is also an advisor to the Vault Fund. David holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the Max Planck Institute for Biology, a Master of Science degree in Tropical Medicine from the University of Tübingen, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology—Protozoology, from the University of Glasgow. Earlier, she had a distinguished 24-year career at Procter & Gamble that culminated in her role as Global Franchise Director—Health Care. There, Rowena led the first 100% online product launch of a consumer health product, garnering an insight community that led to valuable product enhancements prior to in-store retail launch. Rowena holds a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees with honors in Natural Sciences—Physics from the University of Oxford. As Head of Seaweed Research and R&D and Growing, Site Manager, Octavio Perez-Garcia leads a team of researchers in our Bream Bay facility validating ways to sustainably grow Asparagopsis – a New Zealand-native seaweed – better and faster. In guiding the research strategy underpinned by science, engineering, aquaculture and biotechnology, Octavio will enable our company to produce more, higher-quality seaweed in a sustainable way. Combined, his academic and industrial experience focused on advancing businesses’ environmental sustainability through innovation and R&D — and knowledge managing research projects in commercial settings — perfectly suit him to lead this charge. Previous roles include Innovation Leader for Global Sustainability at Zespri International, Design Manager at Selsus Green Technologies, and Innovation lead at Watercare, where he set up and managed New Zealand’s first Innovation Centre for Wastewater Resource Recovery. Octavio has won numerous awards and certifications from world-class educational institutions, and is thrilled to apply his experience to accelerate CH4 Global’s vision of reducing methane emissions on a global scale. Tim witnessed the effects of climate change when Hurricane Maria impacted Combe’s facility in Puerto Rico, where he led recovery efforts, working with the local team to rebuild and contribute to the community’s recovery. Earlier, Tim was Director of Integrated Process Improvement at agribusiness giant Bunge, and Chief Operating Officer of Vi-Jon Laboratories, a leading manufacturer of private-label personal care products. With a Master Brewer designation from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling, he previously led operations for companies such as MillerCoors, Molson Coors, and SABMiller. Tim holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Melbourne Business School at the University of Melbourne. A person of many interests, Tim has a passion for gardening and is creating a garden specially designed for pollinators.

In his former position as Strategic Program Manager for CH4 Global, Ricky was instrumental in enabling us to open our Asparagopsis aquaculture learning and growing facilities at Bream Bay and Ocean Beach, as well as our tank farm at Ocean Beach. As VP Product Development, Paul is responsible for ensuring CH4 Global delivers the best-performing and highest-quality product to market for reducing methane emissions in ruminant animals. To achieve this, he calls upon over 35 years of experience at Procter & Gamble bringing innovative new consumer products to market across the Food & Beverage, Health & Beauty and Fabric & HomeCare product sectors. While at P&G, he crafted product innovation strategies for many P&G brands – including Olay, Metamucil, and Pepto-Bismol – to maintain their leadership in the market. He also invented, developed, and launched the Swiffer/Swiffer Wetjet brand, one of P&G’s billion-dollar brands. His robust product development skill set and success developing winning product designs at the intersection of consumer need and technical feasibility prove invaluable as he helps CH4 Global make a lasting impact on the world. Paul has a BS of Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA of Finance from Xavier University, and resides in Cincinnati, Ohio.
