Becoming a police officer has always been a career goal of mine. A few of my friends who were already working at Paladin, strongly advised me to apply so that I could gain relevant skills for law enforcement. The Security Services department at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton (SJHH) strives to provide a safe and healthy environment for all patients, visitors, employees and the public. Through our various skills and training practices, we are dedicated to protecting and upholding the mission and values of SJHH. Security Professionals at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton are also charged with ensuring adherence and compliance to the Criminal Code of Canada, all pertinent legal statutes within the province of Ontario, as well as internal policies and procedures.

I have more than five years of experience as a security guard. I am a law graduate, want to work with Paladin security.

As an LPO, Lomanpreet has been tasked with the responsibility of establisher a presence in the areas she is assigned. By monitoring these areas for potential threats, Lomanpreet discourages potential thieves or other illicit behaviour.

We also work closely with our partners at the Hamilton Police Service and Hamilton Fire Service to ensure we adhere to all community standards of security, crime prevention and safety.

Not only does Lomanpreet monitor designated areas, but when conflicts arise, she quickly engaged in the situation in order to effect a resolution. This includes safely detaining and apprehending potential shoplifters, as well as notifying police so they can make an arrest. Lomanpreet also provides the most appropriate approach when dealing with an aggressive person.

This training has not only increased Lomanpreet’s confidence for the expectations of her position, but she can also apply these defence tactics in her daily life as well.
