I recently purchased a low temperature alarm light from Lumastrobe. As it turned out the unit suffered an "Out of the Box Failure" which can happen with any product. I contacted Lumastrobe and the unit was replaced. All through out the process Lumastrobe and especially Theresa answered my emails promptly and provided excellent customer care. The replacement is working great. Theresa ensured that the replacement was expedited to me as I was leaving for the winter and wanted the light in place before my departure. Customer satisfaction and concern for their customers is obviously at the top of the list for Lumastrobe. They are a great company to deal with.

Once the new battery has been inserted, all that's left to do is replace the magnetic panel and then repeat the process on the other controller. They should automatically re-synch with the Oculus client app once you press any button to turn each of them back on. Then you should be all set to dive back into your virtual world.

If you look closely at one of the Oculus controllers, you should see a seam separating the plastic panels on the grip. One of these panels is permanently fixed to the controller while the other is magnetically held in place. Place your thumb at the top of the panel opposite the triggers, just below the face where most of the buttons are located. There have been several iterations of the Oculus, (now Meta) controller, and most of them run on AA batteries. This might seem like a primitive power source in this day in age, but it's designed that way for the user's convenience. Rechargeable controllers with built-in batteries are great for most consoles since you can simply play with them plugged in when they run out of juice. But tethering VR controllers to a power outlet can cause all sorts of problems.

The lights are performing very well. We use Lumastrobe solar lights for when we go out to the flight line to service/work on aircraft. It is a requirement on many airfields to have illuminated beacons when working around aircraft during dark hours. What makes your product superior is the fact that it can be attached to the roof of a vehicle with magnets. Your solar powered lights are the most beneficial because they allow us to install them on vehicles without having to make modifications to the vehicle’s wiring and they are not permanent mount so I can easily switch between vehicles if needed. They also allow for positive control of lights because I can easily bring them inside and control them as a tool going out with the individual instead of having to spend additional time making sure the lights are working correctly on each vehicle.

That said, finding the battery when it's time to change it out might have some gamers scratching their heads. The engineers who designed the Oculus controllers wanted them to feel smooth and seamless, so there isn't an obvious clasp or anything like that to indicate where the user needs to open it up when it comes time to change out the battery.
