Twin rear channels mean the sign face can be clamped in place and will not twist once secured. The clamps are available to supply separately and are not included with the sign face.

The backing of the sign is made from a rigid plastic sandwiched between two skins of aluminium making the sign strong and very durable. As there is no steel it will not rust giving a great lifespan.

This may be used with plates to show the distance two way traffic will begin, "Distance Ahead" diagram 572 or "For Distance" 570 to describe for how long to expect oncoming traffic. You'd find this sign coming off of a one-way dual carriageway into single lane, two-way traffic. It should be erected after the "End of Dual Carriageway" sign and as near as possible to the start of two-way working.
