Go to the Movie tab > Page 3 > and then turn on the last setting “Movie w/ shutter”Now that you have it set up, you can use the red push button on the top of the housing to start or stop recording. When you switch to movie mode, you can now use the shutter lever or the red push button to start and stop recording. The movie record start/stop button is not accessed on the 200DLM/A underwater housing for the Sony a6600. However, it’s easy to set the camera up to ergonomically start and stop recording using the camera’s C1 button. The C1 button is accessed using a bright red push button on the top of the housing near the shutter control.

Additionally, you can set the shutter button to start/stop movie recording when in the Movie mode. This provides very convenient access to the recording start/stop when you’re dedicated to shooting video underwater.

Set MENU > Camera Settings 2 > Picture Custom Key > Top (page 3)> Custom Button 1 > Movie (page 15) to “MOVIE”Alternatively you can use this same procedure to assign the record start/stop to one of the other custom buttons on the camera. Choose the one that’s most convenient for you.
