Axon (Formerly TASER) - taser company
Drones are bringing in a revolution in public safety in the same way that technologies like body-cams have done in the past. They are making incident response operations not only safe and effective but also remotely visible and manageable. In a study conducted by the Bard Institute, it was found that 910 state and local law enforcement personnel in the US have used drones for law enforcement or any other public safety operations.

About stun gun voltage: I am not a lab technician, nor do I claim to be a specialist in electronics. I am a security products dealer that has been in the business over 20 years and I am very serious about selling quality products and not hype. It's hard to tell which guns are better by the box, so I only advertise the voltages indicated by the manufacturer but I cannot guarantee them. I honestly have no idea what the actual voltage is that the guns produce. I can honestly tell you is which guns have more power and a stronger bite by my own testing with both physical and audible evaluations.-Irv MillerStun guns have been on the market now for well over two decades. Law enforcement were using Nova Stun Guns back in the late 80's and there were a string of companies that came and went along the way. Stun guns are an electrical self-defense device that puts out a high voltage and low amperage shock that causes pain and electrical disruption to an assailant. When you hit some one with the stun device the electrical charge makes a loop through the body. Basically jumping from one probe through the body and back out to the other probe. The further the spread of the contact points, the more devastating the effects are to the assailant. This is why TASER® products that shoot projectiles that spread out before hitting the target typically drop the target to the ground because the current is moving over a larger muscle area. What the current does is cause the muscles to do a lot of work very rapidly. Your body tightens up to defend against the pain whether is a strike from a fist to the stomach or a stun gun to the chest. This depletes the blood sugar and starts converting it in to lactic acid. Once enough lactic acid builds up the target can no longer create energy and they lose control of their body. This usually takes several seconds of contact at a minimum to make this happen. People in pain want to get away and that is what you should expect. When you hit some one with a hand-held unit they will back up immediately and try to avoid the source of the pain, IE the stun gun. Even the sound is enough to intimidate most people and even animals. The voltage on a stun gun may appear high, but it is the amps that actually matter when it comes to permanent damage or death. The stun guns we sell are less-lethal devices. They are designed NOT to kill people, but merely to cause pain to gain control or to get away depending on the application. To put things in perspective, one amp will kill a person. Our stun guns deliver 3 to 4 milliamps. This is far below the amperage that could do any lasting damage to an individual.Stun guns are considered reasonable force to resist attack. They can be used many times to ward off attackers before the battery needs recharging, or replacing. Even if the assailant is touching you, there is no way the current will pass to you. There is no shock-back.When using the stun gun on an assailant, you will not hear the loud zapping electrical discharge that you do when testing. All the available energy is being discharged into his body. The stun gun cannot be damaged by the continuous firing into an assailant. However: DO NOT DISCHARGE THE UNIT INTO THE AIR FOR MORE THAN ONE SECOND. REPEAT FIRING FOR LONGER DURATION'S CAN DAMAGE THE UNIT AND VOID THE WARRANTY!Power Source - Stun guns use a variety of power sources from 9 volt batteries to rechargeable Ni Cad batteries. Some of the smaller compact units use 3 volt lithium batteries that have up to a 10 year shelf life.WARRANTY - There is a lifetime warranty on most of our stun guns. Warranty is usually mentioned under the specs of the gun. Please Note: Although J & L Sells the best stun guns available, they still are a close quarters weapon, and require several seconds of contact to be effective. Because of this, we will always advise you to purchase a DPS Pepper Spray FIRST. Our pepper spray is the best in the world, and will stop anyone! Our spray takes them down in 1 to 2 seconds in most cases and keeps them down for 30 minutes or longer. DPS spray is not what you will find on the cheaper sites or in most areas for that matter, it is a law enforcement and corrections item that we sell to the public. It is the only thing you can legally carry in most areas that will take a big fellow like myself down. Stun guns, TASER® and even Myotrons have all been tested by me and will not take me down before I can get them away and hurt you.Why tell us this and cost yourself money?Because we care. J & L is a real people, hands on kind of company. I have to sleep at night, so I will let you know my honest professional opinion in any situation. Stun guns do have a purpose and a place in the self defense lineup, but DPS Defense Spray is what I would push to you if you could not afford both.STUN GUNS CANNOT BE SHIPPED OUTSIDE THE USA WITHOUT AN EXPORT LICENSE FROM THE US GOVERNMENT STUN GUN RESTRICTION INFORMATION STATES WHERE STUN GUNS ARE PROHIBITED: Hawaii Rhode Island STATES WHERE STUN GUNS REQUIRE CARRY PERMIT: Connecticut Delaware Illinois New Mexico Wisconsin STUN GUNS CANNOT BE SHIPPED OUTSIDE THE USA WITHOUT AN EXPORT LICENSE FROM THE US GOVERNMENT DISCLAIMER, RELEASE, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER OF LIABILITY, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT: J & L Self Defense Products, Inc. is not responsible for any physical harm or damage from the use or misuse of self-defense devices, including a stun gun or taser purchased from us. Ans: Yes! Drones are already in use by police departments and law enforcement agencies. In a study conducted by the Bard Institute, it was found that more than 300 state and local law enforcement officials are already using drones in some way or the other.
A mission is a set of instructions that tells a drone how to reach a location and what to do once it reaches the location. This feature can be used to dispatch drones to a particular location in the event of an emergency.
The feature is useful to highlight evidence or other important details during aerial missions. The cloud-connected platform supports the storage of video in a secure, external, public/private cloud server, so that videos captured during a mission can be reliably archived.
This feature played a crucial role during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown in India. A startup called Dronelab with the help from volunteers and the police flew drones all over Ahmedabad (an Indian city in the state of Gujarat) and streamed their video feed directly onto the FlytBase dashboard at the central control room.

A single operator can use the FlytBase dashboard to control multiple drones, including the camera gimbal of each drone. Such a capability is quite useful in operations that require the coverage of a large area from multiple perspectives; for example, search and rescue, surveillance, manhunt, etc.
Ans: 1. Surveillance: Police drones can be used to monitor large crowds or areas for suspicious activity, such as illegal gatherings or drug deals.
Drones are like tools; depending on the task, different kinds of drones are required for police activities. FlytBase as a platform is hardware agnostic since it supports both off-the-shelf, as well as custom drones based on PX4 and Ardupilot autopilots.

Learn how drones for police departments are rapidly being adopted by various law enforcement agencies all over the world, making their work significantly safer and easier.
The solution leverages 4G/LTE/5G networks for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) or Extended Visual Line of Sight (EVLOS) flights and for the streaming of high definition (HD) quality videos. Below is an illustration of how the system works:

In this blog, we learned the benefits of using drones for law enforcement and public safety. We also covered what kind of drones and payloads are suitable for police departments and first responder, and how FlytBase enhances such operations.
Drones give people access to the sky, and an aerial view of the activities happening on the ground, especially via payloads that are integrated with commercial drones. Here are some payloads that are used for police and public safety operations:
Phirst Technologies, a US-based company, developed a solution called First iZ using FlytBase & FlytBase, which integrates with the CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) system to power the 911 service in Tyler, Texas, US. The solution allows 911 operators to remotely dispatch drones as first responders, to an emergency site, from a unified dashboard. Read the full case study.
Ans: The ownership of the airspace above a private property generally ends beyond 50 feet. So any licensed drone can fly at that height over any property. Still, the intricacies of the law will defer from country to country.
Thermal sensors are useful in missions like search and rescue, night-time surveillance, firefighting, etc. With FlytBase, remote drone operators can stream thermal feeds from multiple drones and gain better situational awareness of an evolving situation, and thus assist ground operators in real-time.
FlytBase is a cloud-based drone fleet management solution that can be used to deploy an effective first responder system, where drones are controlled and managed from a unified dashboard.
From our interactions with public safety users, we found that drones for public safety solution can be equipped with thermal sensors and a camera with high zoom capability are most preferred for first responder operations. Both off-the-shelf and custom drones are used for police operations, such as:
Ans: Drones can be deployed in the traditional sense, where a pilot in the field operates a drone via an RC close to the scene of action. But the modern approach leverages the cloud infrastructure to deploy drones from a base station without human intervention. The entire operation is controlled using a fleet management system that provides a unified dashboard and integration with response systems like the 911.
A drone connected to the FlytBase system can send high quality, live video feed directly to the cloud dashboard; from there, an operator has the option to share the stream with multiple, remote stakeholders.

Drones are being rapidly adopted by various law enforcement agencies throughout the world because of the following advantages:
An operator using the FlytBase dashboard has access to a map with the real-time location of all drones connected to the system. During a mission, the operator can pin crucial information captured by a drone directly onto the map.
This allowed the authorities to keep a watchful eye for people breaking social distancing norms, or violating the lockdown imposed by the government.
