What is a Fluorescence Microscope and What is It Used For - what is fluorescence microscopy
With Dura-Line in your corner, you’ll have the peace of mind that comes with our unmatched support and 50+ years as the industry leader in conduit solutions. Our nationwide team offers deep expertise in the latest conduit technology as well as the bigger picture of network design, product selection, workforce training, and more.
MicroTechnology is a term given to smaller conduits and fiber used in Inside and Outside Plant Construction (ISP and OSP). MicroDucts were developed as a solution to house fiber cables that were smaller in size, but still carried significant capacity. Today, MicroCables range from 6 to 432-fiber counts. The glass fibers are the same type as those used in traditional fiber cables, only the cable design has been altered to reduce the diameter of the cable sheath and support system. MicroDucts bundled under one sheath are called FuturePath and provide multiple ducts in one structure for future expansion of networks.
Dura-Line offers a wide range of CSA listed electrical conduit products in both solid wall and corrugated. Customers using Dura-Line’s electrical products leverage unique characteristics HDPE provides.
Repairing a damaged fiber cable can range from $15,000 to $20,000 per incident for maintenance alone. The outage might also mean that operators have to pay out if they break service level agreements, should the cable not be repaired or replaced within a given timeframe.
Dura-Line manufactures standard High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) conduits for standard installation applications such as standard underground, as innerducts in existing conduits, or corrugated products to use in congested areas. HDPE is a flexible and resilient material. It provides superior resistance to natural or mechanical damage, and has excellent low temperature properties to handle cold weather.
That infrared radiation -that comes from a LED-emitter- has a wavelength of 940 nm (nanometres), which is too high to be seen with the naked eye. This means that whatever is being observed won’t be disturbed by the HikMicro 940 Nm IR Illuminator. The infrared radiation has a range of 200 metres.
Dura-Line is part of Orbia, a community of companies working together to tackle some of the world’s most complex challenges. We are bound by a common purpose: To Advance Life Around the World.
There are 400,000 utility strikes across the US each year – many of them on fiber optic cables. Conduit provides an additional layer of protection for fiber optic cabling in the event of such an event.
Dura-Line prides itself on creating cutting edge technology that solves unique customer installation scenarios. For nearly half a century, our team of experts has been hands-on involved in product research and installation training. In the Tech Center section, we share tips and techniques intended to help and engage engineers, installation crews, and end-users.
Dura-Line's Speciality Conduits are designed and manufactured to perform to meet application-specfic requirements such as aerial, locatable, providing superior mechanical protection, and fire resistant spaces. Customers using Specialty products leverage the unique characteristics for particular projects.
Direct-buried fiber needs metallic armor for protection and detection and must be grounded and bonded to safeguard against electrification. Conduit offers protection for fiber cables without adding the complexity, additional steps, and potentially extra cost of grounding and bonding armored cables and removing the armor when it’s time to terminate the cable.
This infrared illuminator has a weight of 95 grams, which means you can hold it in your hand just fine or you can use a mount to attach it to a night vision scope. It has an operating time of 5,5 hours on a fully charged HM-3633DC battery, which can be purchased separately.
To complete your installation, Dura-Line offers a complete line of Accessories and additional tools to make installations easier. Couplers, with properties designed for air-jetting, plow chutes, and other installations, easily join lengths of Conduits and MicroDucts. Lubricants in a variety of formulations, including high performance in cold weather, aid in cable placement. MicroAccessories include couplers, end caps, and speciality items designed to perform with MicroDucts and FuturePath. Bull-Line Pull Tape can help install both conduit and cables inside conduit.
This HikMicro 940 Nm IR Illuminator can be used in conjunction with a night vision scope. Scopes with night vision functionality amplify residual light in order to depict a clear and understandable image, which would be much harder to see with the naked eye. If there is absolutely no residual light, if the moon and stars are obscured by clouds for instance, this IR illuminator can be incredibly useful. It emits infrared radiation in whatever direction you point the illuminator in, which can be seen with the night vision scope.

These Applications demonstrate how conduit is used in everyday life throughout our modern world. Considered an intregral part of the construction phase, the long-term return on investment on installing a flexible, easily scalable conduit network system is priceless. Multiple industries rely on clear, consistent, reliable communication technology. Learn more about how Dura-Line products are integral in providing connection.
MicroDucts are miniaturized conduits that provide permanent, protective pathways for fiber cables. They can be bundled together as FuturePath to provide multiple pathways under a single oversheath. Compared to standard ducts, MicroDucts and FuturePath:
