The individual diffuser films differ in terms of thickness, colour, light scattering (half-value angle) and transmittance (light transmission). Depending on the application, illuminant, light colour (cold or warm white) and surface, a diffusion films with different light values is recommended. Different types of film and thicknesses can be used to achieve a wide variety of diffusion effects. We will be happy to provide you with the light values for all diffusion films and advise you on your choice. Ultimately, however, you cannot avoid testing with samples to see the light diffusion effect of the respective film with your own eyes. We will be happy to supply you with samples for your components in advance so that you can compare the film types.

When used in backlit components, our diffuser foils provide uniform and homogeneous illumination over a wide area. The lamps and light sources behind them are then no longer visible. The high-performance diffuser films allow different degrees of diffusion. They also offer a high impact strength and excellent temperature resistance for optimised LED lighting. This makes diffuser films the ideal solution for various applications such as spotlights or other light sources. Light diffuser films for LED lighting are made of high-quality materials. The most commonly used products include films made of polycarbonate (PC) and PMMA. LED films made of polycarbonate are characterised not only by good impact strength but also by a high temperature resistance. Due to a resistance of - 40 °C to 130 °C, they can be used for demanding applications worldwide. The manufacturers of PC films specify a continuous service temperature of 105 °C. This allows the use of short-term or long-term applications. This allows use at short-term or permanently elevated temperatures for which diffuser films made of other materials are not suitable.
