This simulation allows you to change the focal length and switch between convex and concave lenses to understand the image formation by either of them. Change the u and v to get real and inverted or virtual and erect images, lens formula application, and magnification as well.
By analogy with optical observations, e.g. in astronomy, the term optical resolution in structure determination,\(d_{opt}\), is used to describe the expected minimum distance between two resolved peaks in an electron-density map.
