In CCD based Raman spectrometer, sample is kept in cuvette accompanied by the mechanical chamber with DPSS laser (532nm). The vibrational state of molecule while relaxing the high energy state re-emits the radiation in all directions. Spectrometer is positioned in such a way that laser beam collide at the cuvette perpendicularly. Notch filter is used in front of the spectrometer to avoid Rayleigh scattering so that Raman radiations are measured efficiently.

Because of its spectral response, these IR viewers are ideal for viewing and aligning laser beams and stray reflections (for such lasers as GaAs laser diodes @800-950 nm, Nd:YAG @1064 nm, GaAlAs @1350 nm). In spectroscopy, our IR viewers are useful in observing the reflectance properties of various materials. The Ultraviolet range can also be detected by selecting our UV Viewer.

We also provide an IR Viewer which offers a video output, capable of being used with a video monitor, or it could be integrated with a computer using a video card for example.

NewportIR viewer

It is based on the inelastic scattering of incident radiation through its interaction with vibrating molecules. It probes the molecular vibrations. This will produce a different range of frequencies, namely intense stokes and anti stokes, which have higher frequency than the incident radiation along Rayleigh line. Rayleigh and Raman scattering can be explained both classically and quantum mechanically.

Product warranty: Our warranty for all our mechanical components and systems are ONE year from the date of shipment. Repair or replacement will be made free of charge for products with defects in material and workmanship during this period. For our optical components, our warranty is 30 days from the date of shipment. Defective items will be replaced free of cost. The customer must notify any defect in optical components within 48 hours of receipt. For all warranty replacement, a written statement with an authorized signature indicating the reason for rejection attaching test reports are requested to accompany the returned parts. All defective items must be returned in their original shipping container within 10 days of the date of shipment.

Holmarc's CCD Based Laser Raman Spectrometer apparatus (Model No: HO-ED-S-06A) is an apparatus designed for recording Raman spectra of both solids and liquid samples. Raman spectroscopy is a scattering technique. It is based on Raman Effect, i.e., frequency of a small fraction of scattered radiation is different from frequency of monochromatic incident radiation.

The software used to interpret the data is user friendly. Regression / curve fit algorithms ( Newton - Raphson numerical analysis, Levenberg Marquardt algorithms, etc ) are used. Savitzky – Golay filtering / Box car smoothing purposes, etc are the features of the software. Material library is provided for customized versions.

With the addition of a near-infrared light source, an IR viewer can be used for such "see-in-the-dark" applications as film processing, retinal tissue examination, and night vision.

Near IR Sensor Cards are also available for viewing Near IR light sources. These cards can offer some flexibility not available with an IR Viewer and they are certainly less expensive if they will suit your needs.
