Trinocularcamera

This current model has the basics needed to make a headset and is meant to be built around! It has a faceplate, the optical units, lens CAD and the IPD system!

I am working on making the design smaller as well as more capable, but according to someone who has worked in VR for years, the visual quality is a bit above the Quest 2, the dimensions are 1 1/4th inch (display to outer lens) and the FOV is easily over 110 degrees!

Not believing plastic should cost that much, I went to work and started disassembling cardboard headsets. After I noticed the image effect when using two lens stacked on each other, I realized that this is something with promise! This is a quick and easy project you can do at home, however in the link listed later I do include some parts I recommend buying! I also will likely be making a small change to the display to outer lens dimensions to make it a literal penny width's further!I am working on making the design smaller as well as more capable, but according to someone who has worked in VR for years, the visual quality is a bit above the Quest 2, the dimensions are 1 1/4th inch (display to outer lens) and the FOV is easily over 110 degrees! This current model has the basics needed to make a headset and is meant to be built around!
