For applications where kinematic adjustment is not needed, these fixed optical mounts provide a solution for securing mirrors or other optical components. For applications requiring kinematic adjustment, see our kinematic mirror mounts.
The FMP Optical Mounts offer a simple way to mount mirrors or other optical components. The mounts feature a double-bored mounting area that provides two lines of stable contact. The rear of the optic rests against a small shoulder, which maintains a clear aperture that is nearly as large as the optic itself. The optic is held in place by an locking setscrew, which can be fastened using a 5/64" (2.0 mm) balldriver or hex key. See the table to the right for the minimum optic thickness that each mount accepts. The mounts are directly compatible with our Ø1/2" Posts via the 8-32 (M4) tapped hole on the bottom.

Our Mini-Series Fixed Mirror Mounts are available for Ø7 mm, Ø10 mm, or Ø1/2" optics. They feature a double-bored mounting area that provides two stable lines of contact. The rear of the optic rests against a small lip, and the optic is secured by a nylon-tipped setscrew which can be actuated by a 0.05" balldriver or hex key on the imperial mounts or a 1.5 mm balldriver or hex key on the metric mounts. These mounts are designed to provide a 10 mm optic axis height when measured from the bottom of the mount to match our Mini-Series Kinematic Mounts. The MFM05(/M) is also compatible with Ø12.5 mm optics, but the optic will not be centered in the mount. A bottom-located 4-40 (M3) tapped hole is provided to mount directly to our Ø6 mm Mini-Series posts or Ø12 mm pedestal posts. Our Mini-Series post holders allow our Ø6 mm posts to be mounted onto our Mini-Series breadboards.

This cage plate is 0.35" (8.9 mm) thick and provides a center-located Ø1" double bore for mounting a Ø1" optic at least 0.125" (3.2 mm) thick. The optic is retained by a nylon-tipped setscrew with a 5/64" (2.0 mm) hex. The cap screw on each flexure cage rod through hole can be tightened using a 5/64" (2.0 mm) hex key or Thorlabs' HKTS-5/64 Hex Key Thumbscrews.
These Standard 30 mm Cage Plates allow Ø1/2" or Ø1" mirrors or other optical components to be aligned in our 30 mm cage system. The double-bored mounting area provides two lines of stable contact to hold the optic. A top-located, nylon-tipped setscrew, which can be fastened with a 5/64" (2.0 mm) balldriver or hex key, secures the optic in place. The optic must be at least 0.15" (3.8 mm) thick in order to be properly mounted in these cage plates. A bottom-located 8-32 (M4) tap allows for post mounting. Each cage rod through hole has a side-located locking screw, which can be secured using a 5/64" (2.0 mm) balldriver or hex key.
The CP06F Cage Plate’s flexure arm automatically compensates for rod misalignment in 30 mm cage systems to prevent cage plate binding.
The CP06F(/M) cage plate can be post-mounted via the 8-32 (M4) tapped hole on the bottom. We also offer the CP02F(/M) Cage Plate with Internal SM1 Threads.

The CP06F(/M) Flexure Cage Plate features a flexure arm design for locking onto 30 mm cage rods. This design compensates for the tolerance stacking effects common in cage systems, ensuring that the cage plate never binds or sticks within a constructed cage segment. The cage plate's orthogonal flexure arms remain rigid when handled, but will flex slightly to provide compensation for rod misalignment when installed within a constructed cage segment. This unique feature is illustrated in the diagram to the right. In contrast with the standard setscrew retention method of the CP35 Cage Plate, each CP06F arm clamps onto cage rods using a separate flexure clamp that increases holding force and cage plate rigidity.
Welcome to our production brewery and taproom restaurant! All of our beers you encounter in the eight states (and counting) in which we distribute were brewed at this facility. Join us daily at our adjoining taproom restaurant to enjoy our all-day casual food menu, 20 house-brewed beers on tap, wine, and cocktails, or grab some cans, growlers, crowlers, and merchandise to-go. We also have spacious outdoor seating options on our patio or in our expansive courtyard and astroturf field.
The LCP35(/M) Cage Plate features a Ø2.00" double bore which centers the optic. A nylon-tipped locking setscrew provides a third point of contact and secures optics at least 0.27" (6.9 mm) thick. Each cage rod through hole includes a side-located, 5/64" (2.0 mm) hex locking setscrew for securing the position of the LCP35(/M) within a 60 mm cage system. For additional convenience, an 8-32 (M4) tapped hole is provided for post mounting and OEM mounting applications. As with the LCP34/M shown at the top of the page, the LCP35/M also features a small dimple indicating it is a metric part.
