Now that they have figured out that fusing the meta pillar "lens" to the sensor and training it for visible light range. I would like to see something similar for 200nm to 400nm range.  Build the pillars differently and train the image software to work in UV space.  That might be the future for defect detection.  As no need for expensive lenses. Just pront it directly on the custom UV silicone sensor.

Tips on slides: Purchase prepared slides if you would like to easily see various types of samples. You may also make your own slides. Using a glass cover slip ensures that the sample stays in place. Read these tips for preparing your own slides.

What I haven't figured out yet is if this is limited to a tight specific focus point. As in it couldn't be used at different subject distances.
