Bought one, and it wasn't working, they were awesome enough to send me a tested one as a replacement right away. It works great, has a visible beam in darkened classroom. Had just paid 4x as much for one from Amazon that Wasn't visible. Great buy.
I volunteer on a museum nature trail and this is the perfect thing to point out elusive wildlife and points of interest to visitors on the trail

After I put batteries in, the cap on the back end popped off. There was nothing to hold the end piece in place. After I super glued the cap back on it worked OK. The dot it put out varies in brightness. It can be bright one moment then noticeably dimmer the next. For six and a half bucks (plus shipping) you get what you get.
