Beststep down rings for filters

Maybe the right thing to do is to go to a filter system. The Only Problem with a filter system is the inability to use the shades, but you can buy a shade also for the system itself.

If you have ever passed through Dinétah (Navajoland) and have been in awe of the landscape such as Bears Ears in Southern Utah, the Shiprock formation in northwest New Mexico, or Comb Ridge along Highway 160 in Northern Arizona. Chances are just like those mentioned, and most engrossing geographical features have an Indigenous story attached to them. Dinétah is 27,000 square miles and our genesis is dispersed everywhere. Well, I solved the lens cap issue by just buying an extra 77mm lens cap. I've standardized on 77mm filters for now (at some point, after I get 10 promotions and win a small lotto jackpot, I'll buy more variety in filter sizes..maybe). I just slap the extra 77mm cap on the filter, swap the lens out, and am ready to go.

"Perfect chair to carry to baseball games, hikes or just because. It's light enough and easy to carry. The comfort is top notch."

The only disadvantage, in my book is convenience. Using step-up rings means that you can't use your lens cap...you can't quickly take off that lens and swith it out. First you have to take off the step-up ring, then put the lens cap on, then put the filter in the case (after, most likely, taking it off the step-up filter)...sigh.

Thanks Richard...when I posted, I wasn't sure about the step-down / step-up. I was thinking from the POV of the filter, not the lens.

Also If you a believer of lens protection, then leave a UV/81A on the lens and do what ever you are planning to do on top of it. (If you do this get a wide angle adapter for your system so that you can avoid vignetting or get the lee system.)

"Was out in 10F temps that quickly dropped to -20F. I yanked these out of the bottom of my pack and the huge zipper allowed for easy dressing over boots. The instant warmth made my whole body relax. We ended up sharing the pants every mile so that neither one of us got too cold. Buying a second pair so I don't have to share next time!"
