Questa procedura consente di calcolare la focale della lente da impiegare per ottenere la completa inquadratura del soggetto da riprendere. La scelta dell'obiettivo va fatta in base ai seguenti parametri:

La focale risulterà pari a circa 14.3 mm. Non esistendo un obiettivo con tale valore esatto si potrà scegliere un modello con focale di valore immediatamente inferiore oppure un obiettivo con focale regolabile (lente varifocale) o zoom in cui il valore trovato sia compreso tra il range minimo e massimo riportati nelle caratteristiche della lente.
