Improvement in light intensity and heat resistance by fusing the end tip Hot-fused light guide is a light guide whose individual fibers are fused together by high temperature instead of epoxy. Epoxy is not good for light guides in absorption of light that prevents from light transmitting and creation of heat at the end of the light guides. As hot-fused light guides is not bonded with epoxy, they improve in heat resistance. Also light intensity is improved with extra optical fibers packed in the space where epoxy is originally existed.

We can change the internal structure of the light guide, and apply coating to give light guides bend-tolerance and wear-resistance. Sumita's in-house manufacturing gives you a lot of flexibility to change the design and custom the product.
