The term "Laser light" is synonymously used for "Show laser", "Laser display" or even "Laser show" (meaning the laser projector unit here).Sometimes they are also called "Entertainment laser".

Laser shows utilize the visibility of laser light. Most show lasers with different colored laser sources come with the colors red, green and blue which make them to so-called RGB lasers. Laser projectors with OPSL modules often provide cyan and orange, rarely lime for a bigger color gamut.Thanks to laser light, impressive laser effects are possible. Depending on the scanning system demanding animations and graphics projections are able to tell whole stories with impressive pictures. Most popular is the so-called audience scanning with laser beams projected directly into the audience. Important: local safety insctructions must be considered and observed.

Is this a standard? I'm running into a vendor that has the key between pins 1 and 4 and it totally screwing up my system I'm trying to commission.

Despite laser shows on e.g. festivals, discos, bars, clubs, wedding ceremonies, birthdays, etc., laser light is nowadays more and more used as car headlights.

Running into a funny issue. I'm used to M12 A-code 4-pin with pin 1 being brown, pin 2 being white, pin 3 being blue and pin 4 being black. And with pin 1 being next to pins 2 and 4 with the keyed part of the connector in between pins 1 and 2.
