Molex Fiber Optic Assemblies and Arrays are custom-built to meet the most demanding technical requests—from simple, single-fiber patch cables to complex fiber optic bundles and arrays. Across a wide range of applications, we can build any combination of optical fiber, sheathings, lenses and connectors to meet the strictest optical and environmental requirements. In addition to building with our own Molex Polymicro fused silica optical fibers, we source various kinds of plastic, borosilicate, and silica optical fibers and cables from industry-leading partners.

Mettler Toledo 360 Full View bottle inspection systemMETTLER TOLEDO CI-Vision’s new 360° Full View bottle inspection system utilizes four cameras to produce a seamless complete image of the bottle being inspected. The system can inspect full or empty bottles of plastic or glass, in various colors and sizes up to 1.5 liters at line speeds of up to 400 bottles per minute. The 360º Full View has an aluminum enclosure around a conveyor and features a touch-screen operator interface mounted onto a side panel. As a bottle passes through the enclosure at any orientation, it triggers four cameras to capture images of the bottle simultaneously. The analysis software performs the routines that calculate the bottle's coordinates and determine whether the correct label has been placed in the proper position on the bottle. If for any reason a bottle fails inspection, it is tracked and diverted through a soft reject mechanism.

Used in a wide variety of optical systems, these ruggedized modules are designed to collimate or focus light exiting an optical fiber to a desired beam diameter or spot size a specific distance away. Collimators and Focus Guides are used with laser diodes, photodiodes, acoustic-optic modulators and other fiber optic devices where a specific output is needed.

The Molex Fiberguide De-Speckler System is a unique, plug-and-play speckle reduction solution that utilizes an in-line, silica-based optical fiber to average modal noise and produce a homogenized output. The De-Speckler System can be customized to your specifications by changing fiber type, length, connectors and sheathing.

Optical fiber can securely transmit large volumes of data over long distances without electromagnetic interference (EMI)—so it’s especially useful for industry applications that can’t effectively support conventional electrical signals. Molex helps address unique customer needs with an industry-leading selection of over 500 specialty optical fibers designed for data communications, photonics, power delivery and more. Our advanced offerings include functional features like polymer cladding for enhanced radiation stability, graded index profiles for improved bandwidth and high-performance coatings for harsh operating environments.

Molex Polymicro multimode step-index fused silica specialty fibers are optimized for a wide spectrum of wavelengths. These include solarization-resistant deep-UV fibers, broad spectrum (UV-NIR) solutions and fibers that operate at infrared (IR) wavelengths. Core, cladding (glass or polymer), numeric aperture and jacket types (including gold buffer) are available in standard and custom options. Each option can be tailored to withstand high-temperature, chemical and radiation environments.

Molex Fiberguide Motheye Anti-Reflective (AR) Technology involves a randomized, nano-structured surface that is etched onto fiber end-faces to reduce reflectance and increase transmission over a broad spectrum. Motheye etched surfaces exhibit superior laser-induced damage threshold (LIDT) compared to traditional AR coatings. Motheye can be used with a wide range of optical fiber assemblies and customized to your specific wavelength(s).

Molex Polymicro manufactures a wide diversity of fused silica capillary, available as a linear product or with value-added cutting/assembling. Products range from sub-micrometer inner diameters up to millimeters, with industry-leading dimensional control and tight tolerances. We offer an array of coatings with different optical and thermal properties suited for applications such as analytical chemistry (e.g., gas chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, flow cytometry), flow restrictors, microfluidics, gas and fluid delivery, and many more.

Vacuum feedthroughs enable optical fibers to pass through a pressure vessel without compromising the integrity of the vacuum. They are engineered to maintain a hermetic seal. Vacuum feedthroughs can be configured as single channels or integrated into custom, multi-conduit cable assemblies.
