Laser linewidth directly corresponds to the coherence length of the laser, which is the distance through which laser light can propagate without the loss of any phase coherence.  Such propagation distance is essentially the product of the linewidth’s inverse and the speed of light in the medium in which the light travels, such as free space or fiber.
