Our strip lights are offered in generous lengths that can be easily trimmed (by an adult!) to the perfect length for your project or desired placement. Before starting, be sure your lights are unplugged from a power source. Each set of lights features specific markings indicating where the lights can be safely cut without causing damage. Please be sure to only cut along one of the designated lines using sharp scissors.

In addition to 3D part scan vs. CAD model comparison, 3D part scan against 3D part scan comparison is possible by overlaying high-resolution scans of different parts to verify production consistency or to compare different manufacturing processes.

High precision rotation devices combined with 3D scan sensor technology allows for capture of full 360° 3D scans. These 3D piece part scans can then be compared against the ideal CAD models or other 3D scans to inspect even the most complex geometries.

At EDM Intelligent Solutions, our high-resolution 3D scanning metrology of piece parts allows for comparison to the 3D CAD model down to the µm scale. Difference measurement allows for quick verification of the entire 3D scan by overlaying the 3D scan data on top of the nominal 3D engineering CAD model, creating a surface map to view tolerances and deviations. Critical features can be magnified in sections to further view form deviation characteristics.
