Unsere kleine Digicam hat z.B.  eine Objektivbrennweite von 5 - 75mm das Entspricht laut Hersteller einer Äquivalentbrennweite zum Kleinbild-Format von 28 - 420mm.

Hier möchten wir versuchen eine Übersicht der wichtigsten Größen und Formeln zu geben, die für die Berechnung verschiedener Faktoren in der Astrofotografie bzw. Astronomie aus unserer Sicht wichtig erscheinen.

Wenn das Bild im Kamerasucher scharf ist, dann ist der Brennpunkt des Teleskops  auf der Chipebene (bei Digitalkameras) - so ist die Äquivalentbrennweite gleich der Teleskopbrennweite.
