Hoya applies a proprietary Antistatic layer during the multi-coating process that prevents static electric build-up on the filter's surface that is caused during cleaning and handling of the filter. Great for environments where dust is common, these filters require less frequent cleaning and maintenance than traditional filters.

Additionally, the hardened, antistatic top-layer is water repellent, stain, and scratch-resistant, and cleans easily when smudges or fingerprints are introduced to the surface.

The filter comes stored is ballistic nylon filter case with a soft scratch-free lining. It includes a magnetic clasp for easy access to the filter when you need it.

The EVO Antistatic UV filters are made in Japan using hand-selected silicates that are carefully smelted and blended to yield high-performance UV optical glass. Hoya then applies 16-layers of a Super Multi-Coating (SMC) anti-reflection formula which greatly reduces or eliminates reflections on the surface of the glass and yields a 99.8% light transmission rate. This means the filter has virtually no effect on color, contrast, or clarity of the final image. Exactly what you want from a UV Protection filter.

iShot® UV Light Sources produce powerful ultraviolet light that provides the SeeUV® brand its ability to carry out fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) and magnetic particle inspection (MPI) operations. Choose from reliable UV light sources or simultaneous UV/white light illumination with toggling features.

The EVO Antistatic UV filter employs distortion-free optical glass and a special multi-coating process that help’s make this one of the sharpest and easiest filters to clean and maintain. The filter’s ultra-violet (UV) properties filter unwanted UV rays, reduce haze and increase clarity at high altitudes.

Hoya developed a special filter frame to house the 112mm UV filter to specifically work with the Nikkor Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S lens. It has been lab tested and confirmed to work without vignetting.

These larger sizes use a slightly thicker glass to prevent flex and improve the integrity of the filter. This makes it impossible to use the same 3mm thick frame as the smaller sizes. Hoya uses our lightweight aluminum 5mm thick filter frames instead with the larger sizes. We have tested these on the widest lenses available that accept front filters and have detected zero vignetting (as of 03-2022).

The filter features a lightweight, one-piece, low-profile aluminum frame to house the glass. This one-piece design allows the filter to maintain parallel alignment to the sensor plane for maximum sharpness, while the low-profile form eliminates vignetting when used with ultra-wide angle lenses.

No matter how reliable borescopes and camera systems may be, lighting only sometimes works in your favor; this can diminish the usefulness of the high-quality content produced by our products. We developed the iShot® UV Light Sources that emit powerful ultraviolet light that provides the SeeUV® brand its ability to carry out thorough fluorescent penetrant inspections (FPIs) and magnetic particle inspections (MPIs). We offer many light sources, from dedicated UV light to simultaneous UV/white light illumination with toggling features. If you think UV light perfectly matches your systems, don't hesitate to choose from our iShot® Illumination products below.
