Tommie Copper®’s infrared light therapy is non-invasive and works at the cellular level to enhance relief and recovery. Our red light therapy devices fit comfortably and send red and near-infrared wavelengths of light energy to the deeper layers of muscle to help reduce inflammation and swelling, improve blood flow, relieve pain, and promote recovery.

Vertically scanning white light interferometry is a non-contact optical method for 3D-profiles of rough and smooth surfaces (Dresel and Häusler 1992; Windecker and Haible 1995). Instead of coherent light as it is used in classical interferometers, a polychromatic broadband, incoherent light-source like an LED or a halogen lamp is used. So it is possible to measure the topography not only of smooth but also of rough surfaces without disturbing speckles and, in case of steps, the order of the interference fringes is not lost. The z-resolution can be in the picometer range, independent from the field of view. Changing optics like objectives in a microscope-interferometer does not influence the z-resolution. The field of view depends on the optical setup of the instrument: For telecentric systems, e.g., it can be as large as 50 × 50 mm2, for typical microscope-systems its higher...

Diffusion light helps you do this by masking the direction that each source hits the subject. Direct light will often cast harsh, unnatural-looking shadows.
