Lights Out (2016 film) - light film
Ultraviolet lamps come in a variety of shapes and sizes, depending on their intended use. Some are small and hand-held, while others are large and meant to be mounted on ceilings or walls.
UV lights are often seen in the food industry but they are also used in many other sectors, such as: - Medical industry, - Dentistry, - Agriculture, - Water treatment, - Air purification, - Building preservation and the list goes on. We offer the widest range of products from leading global and national brands, such as Philips, GE, Energetic, Deluxite, Osram and more.

Light guide films typically have a thickness of 0.05” or more, and are made from polymers such as acrylic or polycarbonate. Side view LED’s are attached to the edge of the film. Cutouts can be made in the film to place side view LEDs at the appropriate location. Several technologies exist to extract the light through optical features including laser microdots, half-tone printed inks, and mechanically pressed shapes.
Ultraviolet lights have a number of important applications in both residential and business settings. Some of the most common uses for ultraviolet light are to:
You’ve seen them on the beach, in the pool, or next to the nightstand at home. They’re everywhere, and they’re not just for tanning. In fact, UV or ultraviolet lights can be used for a lot more than getting a tan.
Uniform lightingDeveloped through proprietary optical processing and controlled through selective etch patterns and materials.
The light rays from the side view LED travel through the film and are refracted upwards towards the surface of the overlay once it hits these optical features, producing an illumination effect. Uniformity of this effect can be controlled through patterns and materials. A back reflector is utilized to further capture any light that is transmitted downward from the light emitting surface. Opaque materials can be utilized to block light in undesired areas.
Our customer is proud to be the only U.S. based manufacturer of portable, state-of-the-art, real-time ultrasound scanners for veterinarians and livestock producers world-wide.
Light guide film is best used to illuminate larger surface areas when keeping a low profile is important, making it well suited for applications like the following:
Special application lamps. The four main categories are germicidal, insect trap, curing and party lamps. A variety of base types and wattages are available.
Light guide films use thin sheets of optically clear material coupled to an illumination source (like an LED) to spread light across a surface. Light is selectively extracted from the film through printed, raised, or embossed features. This technology is highly adaptable requiring no tooling or special handling.
